Agaricus blazei Murrill is a mushroom that originates from Brazil and was later introduced to Japan. Agaricus blazei Murrill contains the highest level of all the mushrooms tested for beta glucan and is a non-digestible long-chain carbohydrate found in the cell walls of certain plants. Beta glucan triggers an immune response in the body creating a system of defense against viral, bacterial, fungal, parasitic or potentially cancerous invaders. The Beta glucan in Atlas Agaricus is a potent anti-oxidant free radical scavenger. Beta glucan stimulates production of immune system cells by the bone marrow and protects healthy cells from radiation damage. Atlas Agaricus differs from other immune products because it is an immune system modulator. This product calms an over active immune system for autoimmune conditions (allergies, asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, dermatitis, diabetes, Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Multiple Sclerosis and fibromyalgia).
